June 5th, 2021 marks the 40th anniversary the first five cases of what later became known as AIDS were officially reported. This is also the day to bring awareness to long-terms survivors of HIV.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a month that hopes to promote mental health wellness. May 19th marks National Asian and Pacific Islander (API) HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a day to help stop HIV stigma and increase HIV prevention, testing, and treatment in API communities.

April 10th is National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a day to raise awareness about the impact of HIV on young people. Together, we can help youth stay healthy by encouraging HIV testing, prevention, and treatment. The LBCHPG will be holding an event in honor of NYHAAD on April 14th, 2021.

National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

March 10th is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD), a day to raise awareness about the impact of HIV on women and show support for women with HIV. The LBCHPG will be holding a discussion in honor of NWGHAAD on March 24th, 2021.

February 7th is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a day to help stop HIV stigma and increase HIV prevention, testing, and treatment in Black communities.
