Today I remember Ray Navarro, CalArts classmate, friend, and ActUp and DIVA-TV activist.Though he lost his sight to CMV retinitis, he continued to produce art with the help of his friends. His video activism continues to be seen in documentaries like How to Survive a Plague. I draw strength from his good work, and continue the fight to this day.
